The attached PDF file is a handy reference for educators who need a review of the situation with undocumented children in the public schools.

Two other files from the NYS Education Department WWW site are also attached. The first is a ruling on an appeal that allowed children to stay in school.

The second is a powerpoint presentation called "The Science of Residency Determination" about how you determine if a child is a resident of a school district. A child determined to be residing in a school district is entitled to attend school in the district as long as the immunizations have been met.
